During the month of February, DOAM will be at major markets and grocery stores asking consumers to fill out a short questionnaire about their food purchases. Please stop and fill out a survey. And make sure you say "hello":)

Organics Training Workshop:

Level 1: The Fundamentals of Organic Agriculture

Registration is open for the upcoming DOAM Organics Training.

Members and non-members are welcome to register.

Location: Southeastern Dominica- La Plaine

Dates: late January - March (10-week course / one evening per week)

Course description:

Interactive sessions, learn and share, get acquainted with organic practices

Topics include

organic principles and development, record keeping

tropical soil fertility and cultivation

plant nutrition, manures, composting and composting teas

pest management, companion planting , weed control

biodiversity management , seeds, seedlings, propagation

conversion to, marketing and economic performance of organics
